The last three Spiderman movies have sucked. We all know that, and apparently with rumors of rebooting the franchise, yet again, so does Sony. Now there's a chance that Spiderman may actually enter the MCU but under a shared contract of some sorts. My ultimate wish would be that the rights are reverted back to Marvel.
What are your thoughts on what has happened recently?

It's a cluster[jibber]. I didn't think TASM 2 was all that bad and personally feel that Sony should have just went ahead with the plans they had. But now that seems to never be happening I think the best thing to do is to merge with marvel. Ideally they should keep Garfield, a lot of people will be annoyed at them rebooting spiderman again so soon. But if they really have to go with a slightly younger Pete than we've seen before (He was Spidey since he was 15 remember) and focus more on the perks and troubles of being a super hero at such a young age.

ASM2 us my second favorite Spider movie right beside the first Rain movie.
I would have been okay with keeping the current Spider going but I do like the idea of anot her reboot where he is an already established hero in his adult years and showing up in Civil War.
Even of he just shows up as Peter Parker being a photographer at a press conference type deal

No! No more young Spider-Man! He has been in 5 movies. People know who he is. Let him be in his prime

But a much younger actor than we've had before, Pete usually has left school by the second movie. but it's a pipe dream.

I don't mind Garfield, but it looks as though that shipped has sailed as well.

-Let Spidey cameo in Civil War, give Marvel creative control over Spidey -Clean house at Sony, let Webb do his other projects (he's going to break out as a director soon, just watch) -Put Raimi in charge of Spidey or at least bring him back as a producer -New writers and producers and director if not Raimi
They can either do a soft reboot with Garfield or start new all together, with a Peter in his late 20's, already at the Daily Bugle taking pictures, operating as a small time street hero who came onto the scene after the events of The Avengers. He makes his first big public appearance in Civil War.

Make that mid-late 20's.
No more HS or college Pete! We've had four films already covering that!

Think back to the Spider-Man in the 90's show, I want to see something like that in the MCU.

Or they could makeshift with what they have already and put that into the MCU, which is fine as well as long as there's a clear direction.

All else fails they need to drop the spin offs, get new blood into the franchise, and make TASM 3 and only TASM 3.

The Spidey that's already married to MJ and doesn't have to worry about teen angst shit.

It's time for Spidey to make the jump to the MCU, with or without Garfield. The opportunity is ripe for the picking, and it's possible to do even after TASM 2.

Maybe reboot Spidey with Todd McFarlane's Spidey in mind, except maybe don't have his relationship with MJ so progressed. I think that Peter would fit in perfectly with the MCU.

Sony needs to keep Jeff Robinov the hell away too. Had it not been for K. Tsujihara, Robinov would have ruined any hopes of seeeing DC super heroes outside of Batman and Superman. He only wanted to do Bats and Supes films, and keep them separate. It took forever before he helped get a JL film started, and when that started he nearly sabotaged that, just like he did with Green Lantern.
To be fair, Robinov brought Ben Affleck, Chris Nolan, Zack Snyder, and other directors into the "WB Family", but his ideas for CBMs were terrible.
